BRAVO! - Down by the Creek Bank
The lights shinned brightly on PFPC’s very own version of Broadway and magic filled the air! The sanctuary was transformed into a rustic creek-side setting with all the feel of a major production as the PFPC acting troop presented “Down by the Creek Bank” to a packed house on Friday and Saturday evenings (April 30 and May 1).
Prior to the show, many in the audience were treated to a fine dining experience. Then all the “stars” came out and the audience was transported to the “creek bank” as a great story of God’s love for us all set music was presented with great talent and enthusiasm. The toe tapping, ovations, and encore calls filled the room all night.
A Passion Play
During the Sunday school hour on March 28th, the “upstairs” youth and a big basket took center stage at PFPC. Artistic deliveries abounded as the group enthusiastically presented “The Props of Easter” to a very receptive audience. During the show, each participant removed an item from the basket that symbolized a stop on the journey of Jesus through Holy Week on the way to the cross. In the end, even the empty basket served as a prop to symbolize the empty tomb and the ultimate triumph of the resurrection.
FASHION SHOW
A crowd of 60 ladies was hosted by the Wallace family for a luncheon and fashion show at Wallace Manor on Saturday, March 20, 2010. This event, serving as a fundraiser for the new church property, was a success on every level! Those in attendance, as seen in the photos, had a great time. In addition, $2180 will be added to the building fund as a result of the day’s festivities.
PFPC CLEAN UP DAY
Saturday, March 27 was a special for members to gather together for a Spring Cleaning day at church. Mulch was spread, flowers planted, windows washed, various outside areas received fresh paint, kitchen was reorganized to clear counter space, janitor's closet was cleaned out and the parlor rug shampooed; and best of all they shared a wonderful Barbecue luncheon served by Cathy Davis.
